Day 1 – Policoro, where the adventure begins: On arrival, you will be picked up from the station and transferred to your bed and breakfast. Settle in, get ready for the journey ahead, and prepare to discover the most authentic side of Basilicata.

Day 2 – From Policoro to Colobraro: Meet your guide at your bed and breakfast, where your luggage will be loaded into the support van and your e-bike will be assigned before setting off. Cycle inland from the Ionian coast, visit the Sanctuary of Maria Regina di Anglona and explore the historic centre of Tursi before reaching Colobraro for your overnight stay.

Day 3 – From Colobraro to Francavilla in Sinni: Ride through rural landscapes and traditional Lucanian villages, stop in the historic centre of Senise and continue through a scenic succession of climbs and descents to Francavilla in Sinni, where you will stay overnight.

Day 4 – From Francavilla in Sinni to Castelluccio Superiore: Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Bosco di Magnano and enjoy one of the most scenic stages of the journey before reaching the mountain village of Castelluccio Superiore for your overnight stay.

Day 5 – From Castelluccio Superiore to Maratea: Cycle towards the Tyrrhenian Sea, stop at Lake Sirino and enjoy the long final descent leading to the spectacular coastline of Maratea. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred by van to your preferred drop-off location in Maratea.

  • This experience is not recommended for anyone who is not accustomed to cycling long distances, mixed terrain or routes with significant elevation changes.
  • Throughout the tour, a support van will accompany the group along the route. The vehicle will transport your luggage from one accommodation to the next and carry spare bicycles so that a replacement can be provided if needed.
  • The complete tour programme, including the selected accommodation, approximate timings, daily schedules and organisational details, will be sent after the booking is confirmed.
  • The tour may operate as a multilingual experience, with both Italian and English spoken within the same mixed group.

  • A good level of physical fitness and confidence when riding a bicycle are required.
